Banana Choc Chip Broth Ice blocks
When the weather heats up and you want to whip up some ice blocks for you and the kids but the ingredients still matter… enter, bone broth ice blocks. My girls love these and I sit there and smile on the inside that they’re eating something that’s not going to spike their blood sugar levels.
My broth is made using bones from The Food Farm. Tim and Hannah are regenerative farmers meaning they care for the land and the animals. Bone quality matters when it comes to broth, which is why I choose pasture raised and organic frames and feet.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of coconut cream
1 cup Chicken Broth, homemade or store bought
6 dates - pop in a bowl with boiling water for a minute to soften
2 small-medium bananas
1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. To the mixture, add a 1/4 of a cup of chocolate chips or chocolate and blend it to chop it up.
Pour into ice block moulds and freeze until set.
These would be delicious dipped in extra melted dark chocolate, if you have the patience.
